  • 4 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 46 squares dark chocolate, chopped
  • 12 tbsp chai syrup
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ¼½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Small pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chai Syrup: Boil water in a saucepan, steep chai tea bags for 5 minutes, stir in sugar until dissolved, then add vanilla extract.
  2. Make the Hot Chocolate: In the same saucepan, heat almond milk and dark chocolate over low heat until melted. Mix in chai syrup, cacao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Serve: Pour into heatproof mugs. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chai spice if desired.
