  • 1 cup Swerve brown sugar substitute
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • 2 cups warm water (divided)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons maple extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup of warm water with xanthan gum. Whisk continuously until thickened.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the remaining warm water and Swerve brown sugar substitute. Once hot, whisk in the xanthan gum mixture until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in maple and vanilla extracts. Allow to cool before serving or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
