  • 16 ounces ground Italian sausage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 ounces pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Italian cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a frying pan over high heat, sear the meatballs in oil until browned on all sides.
  3. Prepare the sauce by adding tomato paste to the same pan, cooking briefly before adding pizza sauce and Italian cheese blend.
  4. Return seared meatballs to the sauce mixture.
  5. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered for about 20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
